Frequently Asked Questions

When are your services?

Usually: Dyke Sunday Service: 10am, Edinkillie Sunday Service: 11:30am, but we do have alternate services on the first Sunday of each month at 11am. Check out our Facebook  page for latest information.

Do you have to be a church member to come to a service?

No – everyone is very welcome.

Can children come to services?

Yes, of course! We have a children’s address; The building at Dyke has a creche, play and learning during the services, including a soft area at the back of the church. We also run regular “Messy Church” events at both Dyke and Edinkillie to which all children (and their families!) are invited – you don’t have to be a member to take part.

How do I join the church?

The Church of Scotland has more information on joining the church or moving to our churches.

Can we get married in your churches?

We love a wedding, and we welcome both members and non-members. Find out more here.

Can my child be baptised in your church?

Churches offer both baptism and, where that is not possible, thanksgiving for a child. Find out more on the Church of Scotland website.

What do you believe?

You can find out more on the Church of Scotland website.

I’m researching my family history – can you help?

If we can we will! Contact us and we’ll do all we can to help you.

Can I visit your churches?

You would be very welcome at our services. However, if you would like to visit at some other time, please contact us.
